We are proud to announce that Fit Kids is a winner of The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation’s 2023 Local Impact Grants Challenge. The Foundation is granting nearly $2.5 million this year to non-profits that are strengthening their communities.
“Winning this competitive grant will help Fit Kids strengthen our community, literally, by strengthening children physically and mentally through our structured fitness programs,” said Ashley Hunter, Fit Kids Founder and Executive Director. “Grant programs like this help us achieve our mission to provide structured physical activity, movement, and mindfulness programs to ensure all children are able to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of exercise.”
The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation’s grant program helps drive local communities forward and fosters a culture of equity and inclusion. In Fit Kids’ case, that means reaching and impacting thousands more youth.
“This grant is more than just an award to our organization,” Hunter said. “It is a celebration of our mission, and we are very happy to share with our community this exciting opportunity for growth.”
