Fresh from a stint at Major League Baseball Spring Training, Dr. Michael Freehill has lived the unique journey from pro baseball pitcher who required shoulder surgery to becoming a surgeon himself. Dr. Freehill, now a member of Fit Kids’ Board of Directors, specializes in shoulder and elbow health for people in all walks of life and athletes of all ages.

He serves Stanford University Athletics and Major League Baseball’s Oakland Athletics, and has been funded by Major League Baseball to study pitch counts and intensities in youth baseball players.
