As the beneficiary of the 50/50 Raffle presented by Black Oak Casino Resort conducted at the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks game on October 30th against New York Rangers, Fit Kids received $6,795. Fit Kids Founder Ashley Hunter and Director of Strategic Partnerships Leslie Schott assisted the raffle ticket sales on the concourse of SAP Center (aka “The Shark Tank”), by talking with fans about Fit Kids and the importance of helping kids be active.
“We had a great time introducing Fit Kids to thousands of Sharks fans,” Hunter said. “The visibility and recognition we gained on the raffle tickets and the Sharks’ in-game announcements were a great boost, and the funds from the raffle can help us bring Fit Kids programs to many more children in underserved communities in the San Jose area.”
“The Sharks Foundation is proud to partner with the Fit Kids Foundation,” said Sharks Foundation Director, Heather Hooper. “Our hope is to not only provide financial support, but to increase awareness of the great work that the Fit Kids Foundation is doing in our community.”
