Scott Carter is a managing member of Sequoia Capital, a venture capital fund in Menlo Park, CA, where he has invested in a number of healthcare and connected device companies including Acton, Airstrip, Endochoice, eCardio Diagnostics, SimpliSafe and Telcare. Scott grew up in Texas and moved the Bay Area after attending Texas A&M University and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He also spent a number of years working for former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm in Texas and in Washington, D.C. Scott has been an active coach for girls and boys athletics for the last seven years. He lives in Atherton with his wife Ann and their three children.
