Matt Doyle is the Senior Associate Athletic Director/Director of Football Operations and Player Programs. In his current role, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the football program while serving as a liaison to several groups in the athletics and university community as well as NFL scouts and player agents.
Matt is very involved in athletic administration on a national level as he currently serves on the Rose Bowl Game Advisory Committee and the newly-formed College Football Playoff Advisory Committee. After serving as of the AFCA Football Operations National Committee, he assumed the role of president in 2015. In December, 2012, he was the recipient of the FootballScoop.com Football Operations Director of the Year, an award that is nominated for and voted on by his peers. He plays a key role in fundraising and outreach for the program as he coordinates football alumni communications and fundraising.
Prior to coming to The Farm, Matt taught world history, U.S. government and journalism at his alma mater, Saint Francis High School, in nearby Mountain View. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from UC Davis in 1998, where he played outfield on the baseball team. Matt has a Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. Matt and his wife, Hillary, reside in Redwood City with their daughter, Catherine, and son, Matthew.
