Awara Mendy Adeagbo
Awara Mendy Adeagbo grew up in the Boston area and studied political science as an undergraduate at Harvard University. After college, she worked as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and advised clients in the financial services, healthcare and social impact sectors. Awara moved out to the Bay Area to pursue her MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and subsequently fell in love with the West Coast. She is passionate about health and wellness and has spent several years working at companies in the space, including Revolution Foods, Kurbo Health and Collective Health. Most recently, Awara has transitioned to the nonprofit sector to focus on addressing issues of equity. Currently she is the Senior Manager of Special Projects at The Primary School, a new nonprofit integrating education and health opportunities for underserved families in East Palo Alto & Belle Haven. In her spare time, Awara is a Big Sister through Big Brothers and Big Sisters and she visits seniors at a local Alzheimer’s nursing home. Awara and her husband live in Menlo Park and enjoy hiking, running, and paddleboarding.
